It just makes me so sad. ;-; He accepts his fate so quickly when the fayth tells him the truth, probably because he realizes the only way to save the one he loves from her fate is to give in to his own. But imagine how hollow you’d feel if you were torn from your world only to realize that what you believed was your world was only a shadow of something that was once magnificent. That’s really the only thing that bothers me a little - obviously he knows helping Yuna destroy Yu Yevon (and, by extension, Dream Zanarkand) is the right thing to do, but it’s strange that he doesn’t show much sadness about his own existence beyond just not wanting to disappear.
